DANIELE CIPRI, cinematographer:
Born on August 17, 1962 in Palermo, Sicily, Italy. He is a writer-director and among the most active Italian cinematographers, with lots of Italian Cinema Nominations and Awards. Up to now he has 75 credits, with record number of shot-finished titles this year – 9. As both, a director and cinematographer he has shot 27 films, throughout the career. Starting from 1990 and onwards, he has been shooting shorts, documentaries, TV Series and most of all, long feature films. As a director-cinematographer, among others, he has made the award winning films: ENZO, DOMANI A PALERMO! (1999, co-directed with Franco Maresco), IL RITORNO DEL CAGLIOSTRO (2003, co-directed with Franco Maresco), HOW WE GOT THE ITALIAN MOVIE…(2004, co-directed with Franco Maresco), IT WAS THE SON (2012), LA BUCA (2014); He has also often worked with director Marco Bellocchio in the films: VINCERE (2009), BLOOD OF MY BLOOD (2015) and SWEET DREAMS (2016). His award winning film in 2013 was SALVO, by the tandem writers-directors: F.Grassadonia and A.Piazza. With the director Claudio Giovannesi, prior to their latest film PIRANHAS, they worked on the award-winning film FIORE (2016).His latest, also awarded film is ROMULUS&REMUS:THE FIRST FILM (2019).
