JOLANTA DYLEWSKA, cinematographer:
Born, March 9th, 1958, in Wroclaw, Poland. Cinematographer and director of documentaries. Graduated camera and direction at National Film School in Lodz/Poland, where she is a professor. She is also a visiting professor at the Filmakademie Baden-Wurtenberg in Ludwigsburg/Germany. Member of EFA. Has been awarded for her films at many festivals. At the beginning of her career, she directed and shot her two documentaries: CHRONICLE OF THE WARSAW GHETTO UPRISING ACCORDING TO MAREK EDELMAN and CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT (1999). She first entered in the Competition of Manaki Brothers Festival in 2006, with the film BOY ON THE GALLOPING HORSE (dir. A.Gruzinski), then again in 2008 with the film TULPAN by the director Sergey Dvortsevoy for which she won The Silver Camera 300 that year and with the third film, IN DARKNESS, directed by Agnieszka Holland, in 2011 she won The Golden Camera 300 at the 36th Manaki Brothers. Two years ago, at the 38th edition, she once again entered the Camera 300 Competition with the film SPOOR, once again directed by Agnieszka Holland. At the Jubilee 40th Manaki, she will be for the fifth time in the Competition Camera 300, with the film AYKA.
